The new management team from the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel got the opportunity to join the pupils from Luss Primary School on their last day of term to present a prize for a special drawing competition.
Having challenged pupils to capture the spirit of the hotel’s 18th century coaching inn exterior, the winner selected by competition judge Lady Colquhoun of Luss, was primary 4 pupil Justin Adam,
The prize included over £50 of arts and craft materials, plus a voucher for dinner at the fully refurbished Loch Lomond Arms Hotel, opening at the end of July. Justin’s winning picture will also feature on a new postcard design that will be available to guests of the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel.
Shortly to complete a £2.9 million renovation, the uniquely-styled hotel, bar and restaurant in the scenic village of Luss aims to recreate the atmosphere of an authentic 18th century inn with modern comforts. The Loch Lomond Arms Hotel will celebrate its rich and varied history as a hostelry and hotel, having welcomed travellers for at least two centuries. William Wordsworth and his sister Dorothy are reputed to have stayed during their tour of Scotland in 1803.
