I'm writing a feature on the delicate subject of bed bugs. It's a positive, awareness raising, advice packed feature on dealing with the issue.
Unsurprisingly perhaps I have yet to find a hotel that will talk about their proactive bed bug strategy.
I really could use one hotel brave enough to say, yes their staff are well trained to spot any issues straight away, they have excellent protocols in place to deal with any potential cases, it's an issue they take seriously, and it's better to deal with it proactively than to take the 'it won't happen to me' approach and wait until complaints arise.
If this is you, please get in touch today (Thursday, Friday at a push). firstname.lastname@example.org.
Apologies for posting this in three places, but I'm a bit desperate! (Also, I'm not sure how to change my username!)
I have a one word answer: AllerGuard.
I am delighted to confidently talk proactively and very positively about the bed bug stategy or as I prefer, guest and bed protection strategy which I created for a luxury hotel I recently opened in London SW1.
I found AllerGuard: http://www.allerguard.co.uk/. Clinically proven, unique fabric which not only protects guests, beds and bedding from dust mites and bugs but is also incredibly light, air permeable, warm and comfortable. They manufacture pillows, pillow protectors, duvets and mattress protectors custom to your requirements at a reasonable cost.
The pillow and mattress protectors can fully enclose and zip closed, providing maximum protection.
