Fresco coffee machine from Tchibo

by Angela Frewin, Friday 28th March 2008 13:02

Fresco, Tchibo's latest bean-to-cup coffee machine for the food service sector, incorporates dual boilers for coffee heating and steaming to ensure coffees are not burnt, and a fresh milk system using under-cabinet chillers that can dispense a single shot of cold milk for tea drinkers.

The machine can produce 240 espressos and 150 cappuccinos per hour and offers eight drinks options - including chocolate, hot water, fresh milk, black coffee, mocha and caffÅ  latte - that can be individually programmed.

The machines are designed to use a choice of three coffee brands - Vista, Piacetto Espresso and Tchibo - with two grinders and dual bean hoppers to accommodate different beans.

Fresco is easy to use and so can be effective in self-serve layouts.

The GSM remote audit and faults technology will appeal to multi-site operators who can access the data - including daily sales figures for each drink option and the machine's cleaning history - from anywhere in the world.

The GSM technology also ensures that self-serve drinks are paid for. Dimensions are 840mm high x 453mm wide x 709mm deep.
