Painting theft waiter for trial

A waiter charged with stealing an oil painting from the restaurant where he had worked for six months is to be tried at Bury St Edmunds Crown Court.

Paul Batten, 19, a former employee of the 50-seat Chimney's restaurant in Sudbury, Suffolk, will appear before the court on 18 December, when a trial date will be fixed.
