Bid deadline for Crowne Plaza Cambridge

A deadline has been set for first bids on the Crowne Plaza Cambridge, which was put up for sale with offers invited of more than £35m.

The 198-bedroom hotel was put on the market last month after its former owner, the Quinn Group, went into administration.

Christie + Co, which is marketing the hotel on behalf of administrators Grant Thornton, is seeking first bids by 12 noon on 14 October 2011.

Situated in the centre of the city, where there is limited hotel supply and with many of the university colleges within walking distance, the property offers the Bloomsbury restaurant, a gym and more than 3,500sq ft of meeting space.

Alex Campbell of Christie + Co said: "Unsurprisingly, for such an excellently situated and appointed hotel, Christie + Co has received significant interest from both UK and overseas parties."
