British Institute of Innkeeping (BII) interim chief executive Peter Thomas is to stay in the position full time for 12 months, it has been revealed.

The former BII treasurer stepped up to the role last November after chief executive Neil Robertson left the organisation after three years at the helm.

Robertson left to take up a role with apprenticeship provider Babcock International as director of training.
