Contract catering group Compass UK and Ireland has bought cleaning firm Integrated Cleaning Management (ICM) for an undisclosed sum.

Ian Sarson (pictured), group managing director for Compass Group UK & Ireland, said: "We are delighted to have acquired such a highly respected company as ICM, which has built an excellent reputation in the market. The quality of its client base and its services provide Compass with great opportunities for growth in line with our strategy to expand our presence in the fast-growing soft support services market.

"Our acquisition of VSG has allowed us to provide a first class national security solution for our clients and this latest deal further strengthens our multi-service capability."

ICM, established in 1996, has 8,000 employees working in more than 3,800 client sites, with a particular focus on the corporate office, hospitality, leisure and retail sectors.
