Aviko marks 50th anniversary with Twitter competition

Aviko is celebrating 50 years in business with an anniversary competition to win an Apple iPad plus £100 in iTunes and App Store vouchers, via its brand-new Twitter page. All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning is follow the company at www.twitter.com/avikouk and tweet a happy birthday message, using the hash tag #happy50thaviko. Every tagged birthday tweet will then be entered into a grand prize draw.

Mohammed Essa, Aviko's general manager for UK & Ireland, said: "Fifty years in the business has given us unrivalled credibility in the food service market, a reputation for continuous innovation and a quality assurance that is second to none.

"In keeping with the spirit of innovation, we want people to join in the fun by sending us their best birthday wishes via our brand-new Twitter page.

The competition will close on the 30 September 2012.

Aviko supplies a wide range of high-quality potato products, from frozen fries and chilled chips to steamed and fresh potatoes and appetisers. Since 1962, the company has grown from a small co-operative of 32 farmers to become a European leader and one of the four largest potato processors in the world.
