Le Bouchon Breton closes after poor trading

by Kerstin Kühn, Thursday 5th July 2012 16:27

French bistro Le Bouchon Breton in London's Spitalfields has closed, blaming the economic climate.

The restaurant, which launched in October 2008, shut today after four months of very poor trading. The sister restaurant, Le Bouchon Bordelais in Battersea, south London, continues to trade as normal.

Le Bouchon Breton was a 200-cover restaurant featuring a 50-seat Champagne and oyster bar as well as an alfresco bar and dining area.

The owners were unavailable for comment.
