Aramark picks up two-year deal at Richard Huish College

Aramark continues to push into the further and higher education sector with a new two-year contract at Richard Huish College in Taunton, Somerset.

Worth about £350,000 a year, the new deal is an extension of the caterer's original contract at the college, which commenced in 2006.

Aramark will continue to operate the main refectory, a Costa Coffee service, grab-and-go outlets, vending and hospitality. The new contract will also include investment in a mobile grab-and-go "snack wagon", to cater for students on the move and relocate food services around the campus as needed.

Joanne Hooper, director of operations for Aramark South West, said: "We are one of the UK's most experienced catering providers in further and higher education and believe it's important to produce not just delicious food, but great places for students to meet, socialise and relax.

"In an increasingly competitive education market, we add genuine value by creating places which add to an establishment's appeal to prospective students."
