John Savage named as CEDA's Industry Personality of the Year

John Savage, Foster Refrigerator's recently retired sales director, was this month announced as CEDA's Industry Personality of the Year at the association's 40th anniversary conference.

Savage, who joined Foster in 1969, and is undoubtedly one of the refrigeration industry's best-liked and most-respected personalities, was chosen as the recipient of this award in a vote by CEDA members.

"I am surprised and extremely flattered to receive this award," Savage said. "It's a real honour for me, as there is nothing more heart-warming than to be recognised by the people with whom I have been working for so many years."

Paul Veried, managing director at Foster, said: "John has occupied various senior roles within Foster, including UK sales director and export sales director. He has gained an industry-wide reputation for his breadth of knowledge across all areas of the commercial refrigeration industry and was for many years well-known as Foster's official spokesperson. We are immensely proud to have had him on our team for so long."
