Hertfordshire brewer and pub firm McMullen is to offer ale promotions to customers throughout Cask Ale Week in order to tempt non-ale drinkers to the category.
During the week, which runs from 1 to 9 October, customers will be able to buy a £2 cask ale card at McMullen's 64 managed pubs and use it that day in exchange for either: three different half pints of any McMullen cask ale; two different half pints of any McMullen cask ale and a bottle of its No. 1 cask ale; or a half pint of any McMullen cask ale plus a bottle of either Stronghart or Castle.
The Cask Ale Card will also encourage regular ale drinkers to sample something different to their usual choice from the wide range of real ales McMullen has on offer. These include AK, McMullen Cask Ale, Original IPA, Country Bitter, and For Evans Sake, a seasonal ale named after McMullen Head Brewer Chris Evans.
