Catermasters retains its Investors in People status for seventh year

Foodservice firm Catermasters has retained its Investors in People accreditation for the seventh consecutive year, the company has announced.

Launched in 1991, Investors in People is a nationally-recognised standard and is regarded a leading people management benchmark for business improvement.

Investors in People assessor Martin Smith congratulated Catermasters for its continued development of client services in a challenging economic climate.

“The organisation has made considerable progress in the managing, development and support of its people and has stated aspiration to become one of the Times Top 100 companies to work for,” he added.

Smith interviewed 45 Catermasters employees for the most recent assessment to gauge their opinions of the business, while Catermasters was also required to submit information about its business strategy, training and benefits.

Catermasters’ joint managing director, Richard Moody, said: “The Investors in People standard is very important to us because although we try extremely hard to make sure we have the right plans, systems and procedures in place, it’s vital to have an extra pair of eyes from the outside to look into the business and provide an independent and thorough assessment.

“I’m delighted that we’ve retained the standard for a seventh year – it confirms that we’re a business that is good to work for and focused on providing the best possible service for our clients.”
