When Alan and Susan Stallard needed an experienced chef to go into business with, they didn’t need to look far. Now, along with son Jonathan – a trained chef and licensed operator – they are the owners of The Otter Inn at Colaton Raleigh, East Devon. The three-storey building features a 60-cover restaurant, a bar and a skittle alley with capacity for a further 30 covers. Owner accommodation comprises an office, lounge and four double bedrooms.  The property sold for close to the asking price of £135,000, through agent Stonesmith of Exeter.
