	Hunter

David Hunter has been promoted to director and general manager of the four-star, 53-bedroom Matfen Hall hotel near Newcastle upon Tyne. His previous job title was general manager, which he held for two and a half years.

The four-star, 37-bedroom Dorset Square hotel in London has appointed Wayne Davis as its new general manager. He was previously the deputy general manager of the 56-bedroom St James’s Club and Hotel, London.

	Teasdale

Best Western Hotels has appointed Janine Teasdale as its new PR and communications manager. She joins the company from Leeds-based PR agency Sinclair Mason where she was the events account manager.

Restaurants

	Bissoo
	Ballington   Ginsberg   Sinclair

Peter Bissoo is the new restaurant manager at the 167-bedroom City Inn Bristol hotel. He will take charge of the property’s 60-seat City Café restaurant. He moves from McDonald Hotels in Kent where he was operations manager.

Llangoed Hall hotel in Powys, Wales, has made Sean Ballington its new head chef. He joins the 23-bedroom venue from the four-star, 71-bedroom Gisborough Hall hotel in Cleveland, where he was also head chef.

Lee Ginsberg is the new finance director and company secretary of Domino’s Pizza. He moves from fitness group Health Club Holdings, formerly Holmes Place, where he was group finance director.

The Oriental Restaurant Group has appointed Carolyn Sinclair as its new marketing director. She joins the group from Scottish and Newcastle Retail, where she was the senior brand manager.

Contract catering

Mike Chubb has joined contract caterer Host Contract Management as technical services director. He moves from his previous job as an environmental health officer.

Neil Wightman is the new regional business manager at Host Contract Management. He joins the contract catering business from Catering Alliance where he was area manager.

Abigail Langan has been promoted to the position of head of communications at Whitbread Hotel Company. She moves up from her post as PR manager.

Keith Hardie has been appointed head of communication at Premier Travel Inn. He was previously worldwide head of communication at Thames Water.

Regent Inns has appointed Bob Ivell as its new executive chairman. Until November last year he was the chairman and managing director of brewer Scottish & Newcastle. Since then he has taken on a number of interests, including a non-executive directorship at the Restaurant Group.

John Leslie is the new chief financial officer of Regent Inns. He was previously at brewer Scottish & Newcastle where he was finance director of the group’s retail division.
