Skeleton in the cupboard

Japanese-style food continues to grow steadily in popularity, and M&J Seafoods has extended its value-added range with the introduction of two tempura-style products. Sam Pan Plaice consists of four pieces of plaice in a tempura batter and a plaice skeleton. After deep-frying, the skeleton is arched and secured with a supplied skewer to form the boat on which the plaice fillets sit.

The other Japanese-inspired product is Tempura Hake Fillet, a skinless and boneless hake fillet weighing 110-140g.
