True rolled edges help optimise cleaning of the Parry Professional range of a hob units while elimination of butted joints ensures that there are no potentially hazardous dirt traps. Electric versions have an indented top to collect any spillages, with each plate controlled by a 6 position heat controller with three boiling and three simmering/warming positions. A thermally protected "hot spot" on each hot-plate speeds cooking.

Gas hobs have flame failure devices, removable drip trays, heavy duty pan supports and splashbacks as standard. Parry makes 2, 4 and 6 burner gas units, priced from £430 and 2 and 4 ring electrics, priced from £191. It can also supply a free standing 6 burner range which includes a 7.4 cu ft oven. Price: around £1,500.
