Camargue Red Rice from Merchant Gourmet is red in colour and has a nutty flavour and a soft texture. It can be served with all kinds of meat, poultry and fish, as well as in salads.
It can be boiled in water or, for optimum flavour, add stock and serve with butter and a hint of soy sauce. Or serve it as they do in the Camargue - tossed in local provençale extra virgin olive oil and some freshly chopped basil.
The rice is produced by the Griotto family in the Camargue, southern France.
