Sellerboards by Dahle have been introduced as an alternative to traditional metal or wooden A-shaped display boards.

They are made from lightweight corrugated board, have a taped reinforced hinge and non-slip polyurethane feet for safety and can be used both inside and outside.

The wipe-clean Sellerboards come in four colours - red, yellow, green, and blue - with a recessed message area on both sides in black. Each inset panel measures 760mm high by 505mm wide. Dahle recommends that water-based dry-wipe markers are used.

SPANISH FLAIR

Chicopee has launched a range of disposable tableware under its Masslinn banner called Designer Collection, which features vivid colours and designs.

The two patterns in the range, Pablo and Flamenco, take abstract modern art as their inspiration. Pablo is a combination of different shapes and lines in solid, strong colours, while Flamenco is described as bright and cheerful with textured colours, overlaid patterns and big, bold flowers.

The fabric used has a linen appearance and, says Chicopee, is soft, strong and highly absorbent. The Designer Collection is available in 40m banquet rolls supplied with a free cutting tool.

CARIBBEAN COMFORT

Among the recent dessert launches from Brake Bros Foodservice are two new frozen products - St Lucia Gateau, and Toffee St Honoré Gateau.

St Lucia Gateau consists of coconut meringue topped with Tia Maria mousse, sponge, coconut mousse with pineapple pieces and is decorated with pineapple, dairy cream and chocolate palms.

A puff-pastry base topped with sponge, caramel cream and dairy cream is the basis of the Toffee St Honoré Gateau. It is finished with 14 choux buns filled with dairy cream and drizzled with apricot glaze. Flaked almonds coat the sides of the cake and the top is sprinkled with caramel chips.

Both frozen gateaux are pre-cut into 14 portions. Individual portions can be thawed in a refrigerator for about four hours.

HYGIENIC SHELF LINER

To prevent unhygienic rims on glasses and cups, TSI has introduced Bioliner, a shelf liner with an anti-microbial agent that inhibits the growth of bacteria.

Bioliner works like a normal shelf liner by preventing glasses and crockery coming into contact with storage surfaces, while the anti-bacterial agent will not wash off when rinsed in water. It comes in 60cm-wide roll lengths.

UNIVERSAL APPEAL

Children's menus are to be given a space-age look with the launch of meat-free Cosmic Crunchies from Plusfood.

They come in a variety of 50g shapes - stars, moons, flying saucers and rockets - and are made from leeks, sweet corn, carrots and potato combined with vegetarian cheese and coated in a crispy crumb.

Cosmic Crunchies can be cooked from frozen by grilling (12 to 15 minutes), deep frying (three to four minutes), or oven baking (10 to 15 minutes).
