Gowrings, the Berkshire-based fast food operator, has signed a £3.3m deal that will double the number of Burger King franchises it operates.
The seven outlets, two in Bournemouth and the rest in Portsmouth, Poole, Salisbury, Southampton and Yeovil, are currently run by Burger King itself.
The deal is part of an expansion programme which kicked off last month with the acquisition by Gowrings of three Burger Kings in the West Country.
The company is now the fourth largest Burger King franchisee in the UK, with 15 restaurants. The biggest is Compass Group, which operates 19 outlets.
