Busman takes charge of five travel inns

Andre Busman has been appointed operations manager for Travel Inn's new generation of bigger budget hotels.

In addition to being general manager of the Gatwick Travel Inn opening next month, he will co-ordinate operations for the Glasgow airport and Hemel Hempstead Travel Inns, plus forthcoming properties in Chelmsford and York.

Mr Busman was formerly general manager of Breadsall Priory Hotel in Morley, near Derby, also part of Whitbread's Country Club Hotel Group. He also had a spell at the company's Treudelberg Hotel in Hamburg, Germany, and before that was at Redwood Lodge in Bristol.

Price forms tourism consultancy service

Steve Price, managing director of York-based Rainbow Holidays, has left to set up his own business, providing consultancy services for tourist boards, tour operators and hotels.

Mr Price's company, SMP, set up in partnership with his wife, is based at his home at Barmby Moor, Humberside. He spent 13 years at Rainbow Holidays, and he retains a small shareholding in the company.

Buxted park names new management

Buxted Park Country House Hotel in Uckfield, East Sussex, has a new management team, following its purchase in January by Thai development company Juldis.

General manager at the hotel, which was set up by the EETPU seven years ago, is Mark Robson, who was previously general manager of Bournemouth's Carlton Hotel for three years.

His deputy general manager at Buxted Park, David Vince, held a similar position at London's Stafford hotel, while head chef Colin Gilbert was formerly head chef at 15 North Parade in Oxford.

Bradley leaves nailcote for BBC

Mark Bradley, chef de cuisine at Nailcote Hall Hotel and Country Club in Knowle, Birmingham, is to take up a new position with Caterskill Management.

Mr Bradley, who won an Acorn Award in 1992, is moving to Birmingham's BBC Pebble Mill studio as executive chef in charge of all staff and hospitality catering.

He had been at Nailcote for about 18 months, prior to which he was executive chef at the Copthorne Hotel in Birmingham.

Hoyle and march join radisson edwardian

Following the restructuring earlier this year of the sales and marketing team at Radisson Edwardian Hotels, two further appointments have been made.

Beverley Hoyle, who has worked for the company for five years, has been appointed director of sales for Europe. She formerly ran the corporate sales team.

Toby March, meanwhile, has taken up the new position of director of commercial and travel industry sales. He was previously sales and marketing manager at Galileo.
