Forte closures
FORTE expects to make savings of at least £1.5m a year as a result of the closure of its hotels head office at Slough, Berkshire, and its accounts department at Epsom, Surrey.
The move, which is part of the organisational shake-up announced last summer, will see about half the staff at Slough move to the former Forte Restaurants offices at Brentford, with the remainder going to Forte's High Holborn London HQ.
The accounts staff from Epsom will be relocated to another office at Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, although a spokesman admitted there could be 50-100 redundancies.
Some of the money saved will be ploughed back into operations, creating a number of new jobs in sales.
Cafe toto expands
TAYLOR Walker is to open three further Café Toto outlets in London and the South-east, following a successful trial of the concept on the site of the former Muswell's just off Baker Street.
