London’s Mandeville Hotel to open Reform Social and Grill

London's Mandeville Hotel is to open a new restaurant and bar next month, with the launch of the Reform Social and Grill.

Located in Marylebone Village, the new British-themed restaurant, which has been inspired by classic gentlemen's clubs, will have a separate entrance on Mandeville Place.

The 110-cover bar restaurant, which will be housed in the space formerly occupied by the DeVigne bar, will be headed up by head chef Jens Folkel, who previously worked at Bistro du Vin. Restaurant manager will be Giovanni Piattoli, who joins from Mark Hix's Albemarle Restaurant at Browns Hotel.

Reform Social and Grill will serve breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch and afternoon tea as well as dinner. The all-day dining menu will feature classic British fare including starters such as pheasant Scotch egg or salad of salt baked beetroot with Easter egg radish and Golden Cross goats' cheese.

Main courses will include the catch of the day and dishes from the charcoal grill as well as Lamb Cutlets Reform served with wild garlic, and a fisherman's pie with Cornish pollock, scallops and Waterloo cheese.

Desserts will include Yorkshire rhubarb fool with ginger and thyme shortbread and Eccles cakes with Lancashire black bomb.

A menu of bar snacks will be available in the 30-seat bar with items including duck faggots with game chips, Crispy lamb bacon with mint jelly, beef burgers made with Welsh Wagyu beef and Isle of Wight tomatoes on toast.
