A London restaurant has launched a range of pregnancy pizzas after numerous requests from customers for bizarre toppings.

Eco restaurant in London’s Chiswick now offers a range of pizzas combining more unusual taste combinations put together with guidance from nutritionist Sarah Schenker.

Restaurant owner Charmaine Wasif hit on the idea after three pregnant women came into the eaterie over the course of a week and requested combinations not listed on the standard menu.

“My view is that the customer is always right, and although I haven’t had kids myself I knew that pregnant women sometimes like something out of the ordinary to eat,” said Wasif.

The first unusual request was an ice cream pizza, which combines mozzarella, ham, cranberries and pistachio ice cream.

The full range includes:

Mozzarella, tomato, caramelised banana, honey roast ham, dried sultanas and cranberries, fresh mint and dill and a scoop of pistachio ice cream

Baked beans & sultanas
