KYPRIANOS CHARALAMBOUS has been appointed corporate sales manager at the May Fair Inter-Continental hotel, London. He joins from the Holiday Inn in Maidenhead, Berkshire, where he was account manager.
JANE KNOWLES has been promoted to the newly created position of sales director for English Lakes Hotels. She was previously sales manager.
JAYNE MEE has been appointed head of training and development for the Punch Retail group. She was previously a human resources director with Whitbread.
BOB IVELL has joined the board of Scottish & Newcastle Retail as chairman. He is currently managing director of the company, which runs nearly 1,500 pubs, pub-restaurants and hotels.
Regal Hotels International has appointed RICHARD MARK HODGES as its vice-president and general manager of the Regal Riverside hotel, Hong Kong. He was previously regional vice-president of operations (China) for the group and general manager of the group's East Asia hotel, Shanghai.
JOHN SMEDLEY has been appointed manager of the Forest hotel, Solihull, West Midlands. He joins from the Harborne Restaurant, also in Solihull, part of the California Pizza Factory company, where he was general manager.
JUDY MAYCOCK has been appointed tennis and health club manager of the Wentworth Club, Surrey. She was previously contract manager at the Salisbury Leisure Centre, Wiltshire. Also joining the club is THIERRY BILLOT, as head chef. Billot has previously worked at Claridge's and Harrods in London, and at the Vermont hotel, Tyneside.
MICHELLE LEE has been appointed group director of sales in Asia for Millennium & Copthorne Hotels International. She joins from Swisshotel in Beijing, China, which is managed by Raffles International Hotels & Resorts.
TOM BAUER is the new human resources manager for the GoodBean chain of coffee shops. He was previously the company's training manager.
LESLEY ANDERTON has been appointed operations manager for contact caterer 7 Day Catering. She joins from Quadrant Catering, where she was operations manager.
MARK CHANDLER has been appointed general manager of the Otto Dining Lounge in Maida Vale, London. He joins from De Alto, part of the Scottish & Newcastle group, in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, where he was general manager.
ALASDAIR McNEE, currently director of strategy at the De Vere group, will take on additional responsibility with his new appointment as director of strategy and marketing.
IAN MANSFIELD has joined the Forest restaurant and bar in Dorridge, Solihull, West Midlands, as executive chef. He joins from the Swallow hotel in Birmingham, where he held the same position.
BETH AARONS has been made human resources director at the Cumberland hotel, Marble Arch, London. Her previous post was human resources manager at the Savoy, London, having previously been training manager there for four years.
