Edinburgh boutique hotel the Glasshouse has made two new management appointments.

Alison Mathewson (above) has taken over as new general manager of the five-star, city centre property, bringing with her more than 20 years' combined experience of hotel and hospitality management across Scotland, including the Thistle hotel in Glasgow, Dalhousie Castle & spa in Midlothian, the Swallow hotels in Glasgow and Peterborough and the Stakis Normandy hotel in Renfrew.

She will be supported by new director of sales and marketing, Leigh Craig (left), who has more than 10 years combined marketing and sales management experience, including key roles at City Inn/Mint hotel in Glasgow and all three Greens Health & Fitness clubs in Scotland (latterly part of De Vere Hotels).
