North Italian restaurant to open in Mayfair next month

A new Italian restaurant is set to launch in London’s Mayfair next month combining a restaurant, bar and art gallery.

Cielo, which will open above the Luxx Club on New Burlington Street on 1 March, will be a 40-seat restaurant including a mezzanine lounge bar with a glass roof showcasing contemporary artwork.

The restaurant will serve a northern Italian menu, with head chef Paolo Iaiani, who was previously the private chef of Italy’s famous Agnelli family, overseeing the kitchen. It will also offer an extensive Italian wine list.

Cielo will be managed by director Tobia Speranza, who said the restaurant will offer all the comforts of an expensive restaurant without the price tag.

“Average spend will be around £40 for three courses including wine,” he said.
