KAL DHALIWAL, a co-founder of Indian restaurant group Shimla Pinks, has been appointed to the board of the Oriental Restaurant Group as operations director. Also joining the board is KEN HOM, as a non-executive director.

SAVERIO BUCHICCHIO has joined the Feathers hotel in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, as restaurant manager. He was restaurant manager at the Dormy House hotel in Broadway, Worcestershire.

ANNA DOWLING, general manager of Whitbread's The Brewery conference and banqueting centre in London, will become general manager of the Marriott County Hall hotel in London on 24 April.

WARWICK DODDS is the new head chef at Northcote Manor in Blackburn, Lancashire. Taking over Dodds's position as sous chef is LEIGH MYERS, who was chef de partie.

RICHARD WEST has been appointed director of Groupe Chez Gérard's eponymous Chez Gérard restaurants. He was formerly a director at Café Flo.

DEREK DONALDSON has taken on the role of head chef at the Beardmore conference hotel in Glasgow. He was sous chef at Cameron House hotel in Alexandria, Dunbartonshire.

EMMA SCOTT has left her post as general manager of Café Fish in London. She will become human resources recruitment manager at Groupe Chez Gérard from 17 April.

TERRY LUNDHOLM has joined the Hartford Group as its director of operations. He was formerly general manager of the Hard Rock Café in Edinburgh.

SIMON KAYE, former sales and customer service director at Scottish & Newcastle Retail, has become managing director of its pubs in the west of the UK. And STEVE RICHARDS is managing director of S&N Retail's pubs in the east of the UK. He was managing director of Greenalls' southern estate of unbranded pubs.

SUZIE CARRUTH has become director of operations of new units at the Hartford Group. She was assistant general manager of the Le Caprice restaurant in London.

SIMON THOMAS, head concierge at London's Royal Garden hotel, has been appointed vice-president of the Society of the Golden Keys for Great Britain and the Commonwealth.

STEFAN FLURY, formerly general manager of the Mövenpick hotel in Lübeck and Mövenpick's regional manager for north Germany, has been promoted to area manager for Germany.

RICHARD TENBY has been appointed sales director of the Vienna Group of hotels. He was previously manager of the US-owned travel group, T Pro UK.

RONALD SPINNEY, chairman of Hammerson, has been appointed a non-executive director of London-based retailer and brewer Fuller Smith & Turner.
