The suit makes a comeback

Despite recent trends in dressing down for work, there is now evidence to suggest the suit is making a comeback. The Americans are already noticing a fall in the popularity of casual workwear. From 1999 to 2000, there was a fall from 95 per cent to 87 per cent in the number of companies in the USA, allowing casual dress once a week.
In a Simon Jersey survey conducted in 2000 across businesses in Germany and the UK, 91 per cent of customers felt a uniformed employee would have more respect for them and their needs. The same survey showed customers felt that a business was professional (81 per cent).
With this in mind, Simon Jersey has launch its new Tailored to Business range. The co-ordinated range is cut from high quality fabric blends in a mix of wool, polyester and Lycra. The result is clothing that avoids creases.
