Success from the freezer

A new range of frozen sauces is available from Brake Bros. Pepper Sauce is a light brown sauce containing cream, egg, cracked black peppercorns and green peppercorns. Laced with brandy, this sauce can be served with meat, especially steaks. The Chasseur Sauce is a tomato based sauce with sliced mushrooms and red wine. It is suitable for steaks, game or venison.

Bearnaise Sauce, the classic French style sauce, can be served with fish or poultry. Diane Sauce, which contains mushrooms, onions, brandy and seasoning, can be served with meat and poultry. Available in individual 75g sauce portions in a clear pouch. Simply cook from frozen or thawed in boiling water for about seven minutes.

The Pepper and Chasseur sauces cost £12.75 for a pack of 24 (53p each) and the Bearnaise and Diane Sauces cost £15.50 for a pack of 24 (65p each).
